Inventory Specialist

Full-Time Position

This is a full time position, 40 hours per week; FT benefits included.

Perform accurate DC Co-op on-hand inventory audits by performing cycle counts according to the store layout map and thoroughly researching and controlling Inventory Adjustment activity. Scan all on hand inventory to establish accurate product counts of all products. Work in a consistent and productive manner to establish an accurate reliable store inventory.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Operate computer program with inventory control features, record and print reports.
  • Check figures, posting inventory changes, mathematical accuracy of inventory.
  • Control, update and document store inventory activity including negative on hands, cycle counts and regular store adjustments.
  • Review and validate on hand inventory variances from cashiers and store personnel.
  • Record numerical data and report variances to merchandise managers.
  • Research all count adjustments thoroughly using established standards before finalizing.
  • Perform cycle counts of inventory established within a specific timeframe.
  • Research and complete the daily negative on hand report.
  • Assist with the product receiving process of merchandise, comply with established standards.
  • Effectively respond and interact with back office and merchandise office as required.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • 2 years of relevant shipping/receiving or inventory control experience.
  • Ability to analyze data from reports.
  • Ability to identify products and locate items by sight.
  • Attention to detail, confidentiality.
  • Ability to perform general math calculations.
  • Ability to interact successfully with customers and co-workers.
  • An aptitude for computer processing.
  • Available to work a varied work schedule as needs to the business.

Hardware Sales Clerk

Part-Time Position

This position requires applicant to sell products, provide customer service, inventory control, and recovery of shelves: selling of hardware and farm merchandise to our customers, answering questions, and answering telephones. You must be able to maintain a neat and tidy personal appearance and help keep the store neat, clean and organized.

Qualifications:

  • Herbicide/fungicide knowledge with weed identification and general forage knowledge.
  • Knowledge of vineyard and landscape supplies.
  • Ring up, carry out, and load hardware/farm related store merchandise.
  • Sell products, provide accurate product information, participate in general cleaning.
  • Ability to perform arithmetic calculations.
  • Know and use resources necessary to make proper recommendations of products sold.
  • Ability to learn store prices, products and services.
  • Be able to use a computerized point-of-sale system.
  • Maintain product inventory levels to assure maximum service.
  • Arrange merchandise stock displays and shelves.
  • Maintain a clean and orderly store environment.
  • Greet customers in a friendly manner with a smile and verbal greeting.
  • Ability to interact effectively with customers and co-workers.
  • Must pass a pre-employment drug screen.

The work schedule will vary from week to week. We are open 7 days a week and weekend work is to be expected. The position will work 4 to 8 hours per day, 20-30 hours per week.

Garden Center Cashier

Part-Time Position

This is a part-time position requiring a horticultural, nursery and/or landscaping background with a good familiarity of plant care including shrubs, trees, perennials, seeds, bulbs, and planting. Outstanding customer service skills are required to greet customers and accurately process checkout of customer transactions. Prior retail experience preferred.

  • Ability to perform arithmetic calculations.
  • Be organized with attention to detail.
  • Have a neat and clean appearance.
  • Be friendly and courteous.
  • Must be able to twist, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs. frequently.
  • Ability to interact effectively with customers and co-workers.

  • Must pass a pre-employment drug screen.

The work schedule will vary from week to week. We are open 7 days a week and weekend work is to be expected. The position will work 4 to 8 hours per day, 20-30 hours per week.

Fertilizer/Landscape Plant Mechanic/CDL Driver

Full-Time Position

This is a mechanic position that is responsible for equipment repair and plant maintenance. Will also provide sales support, counter service and answer phone questions for customers.

Qualifications:

  • General knowledge of hydraulics, belts, sprockets and chains.
  • Experience with welding, fabricating, repair of metal.
  • Experience with small engine, hydraulic hose repair.
  • Must have a Class A CDL with clean driving record.
  • 6 months forklift and front loader experience preferred.
  • Ability to work in a safe, efficient manner.
  • Ability to frequently lift 50 lbs.
  • Must maintain a clean, orderly, and organized work environment.
  • Must be motivated and a self-starter.
  • Good phone skills required to answer incoming calls and communicate information as needed to customers.
  • Ability to greet customers in a friendly manner with a smile and verbal greeting.
  • Ability to interact effectively with customers and co-workers.
  • Must pass a pre-employment drug screen.

The position is full-time with benefits to work 40 hours per week, including some Saturdays.

Fuel Attendant

Part-Time Position

Part-time fuel attendant needed for our Shell station. This position requires outstanding customer service skills to greet customers, accurately operate fuel pumps in a fast paced environment, wash customer’s windows and keep lot clean and free of debris.

Qualifications:

  • Outstanding customer service skills.
  • Be self-motivated and able to work independently.
  • Have basic math and money handling skills.
  • Have a neat and clean appearance.
  • Must be able to twist, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs. frequently.
  • Must be reliable and have the ability to work a varied schedule.
  • Must pass a pre-employment drug screen.

The position will work 20-30 hours per week. The work schedule to vary each week. We are open 7 days a week, 24 hours a day including holidays.

Carry Out Position

Part-Time Position

This position is responsible for the daily carryout of feed and related products for our customers. This is a fast paced position that requires constant hustle and attention to detail, a strong work ethic and customer service skills.

Tasks Include:

  • Keeping feed decks organized, stocked, cleaned and free of loose debris.
  • Re-bagging broken and torn bags.
  • Keeping aisles and parking lot clean and clear.
  • Cleaning of restrooms and emptying garbage cans.
  • Repetitive lifting of weight up to 50 pounds with an occasional occurrence of weights that may exceed 300 pounds.
  • Requires that you be able to stoop, bend, twist, kneel, and have considerable flexibility.
  • Requires excellent customer service skills as this person has the last contact with our customer.

The position will work 20-30 hours per week. The work schedule will vary from week to week. We are open 7 days a week and weekend work is to be expected.
